Coolant Protection

It is important to know that you have enough coolant in your cooling system to absorb the heat created by your engine. However, it is equally important to be certain the coolant can perform its duties over a wide temperature range. If the coolant cannot resist low temperature, it will freeze and not circulate through the engine. Frozen coolant could also crack engine parts. Conversely, if the coolant cannot resist high temperatures, it will boil, turn to vapor, and escape. The engine will then overheat.
